Franchisors are real people with backgrounds similar to the franchisees attracted to their franchise concept, Laura says. They have gotten their hands dirty and invested their time, money and energy into an idea. They are risk takers, hard workers and incredibly focused on building a business.
In fact, Laura is a shining example of a franchisor who started with nothing but an idea and lots of grit. She has a background in the military and as a police officer. These careers highlighted the importance of structure and systems in building a business.
